These donors connect Panitch to billionaire finance, weapons contractors, hardline advocacy groups, and Republican power circles.
Zalik founded GreenSky, and Forbes still lists him as a billionaire. In 2021, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ordered GreenSky to provide up to $9 million in refunds or loan cancellations and pay a $2.5 million civil penalty after finding the company enabled unauthorized consumer loans. Zalik also gave $85,000 to Brian Kemp's leadership committee.
Fialkow is an Atlanta real-estate investor and insurance executive. He is a close Kemp ally who has donated at least $13,000 to Brian Kemp and was appointed to numerous boards by him. He was also a figure in the long fight over the Peachtree-Pine homeless shelter, where he ultimately won ownership and forced the Task Force for the Homeless out of the building. More recently, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution listed Fialkow among Kemp-allied donors supporting Derek Dooley's Senate campaign.
